Football Season Tickets Go Onsale Monday

April 11, 2008

Columbia, Mo. - The highly-anticipated 2008 Mizzou football season is fast approaching, and beginning Monday, fans of the Tigers can purchase their season tickets to catch all of the action at Faurot Field.  On Monday, April 14th, season tickets for the 2008 season go on sale to the general public at 8 a.m.  Tickets can be purchased in person at the Mizzou Arena Ticket office, by phone at 1-800-CAT-PAWS (884-PAWS in Mid-Missouri), or online at www.mutigers.com.

Renewal order forms and additional information was mailed this week to 2007 season ticket holders, with a deadline of June 6th for reserving their previously-held seats.  Fans are encouraged to be on the lookout in their mailboxes for the information, and to contact the MU Ticket Office with questions.

Tiger fans purchasing new season tickets can place their order beginning Monday, but specific seat locations will not be allocated until after the renewal deadline of June 6th for previous season ticket holders.

Head Coach Gary Pinkel and the defending Big 12 North Champion Tigers are in the middle of their 2008 spring camp, making preparations for the annual Black & Gold Game.  Tiger fans are encouraged to come see their Tigers in action Saturday, April 19th, with the game scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at Faurot Field.  Admission is just $3, or three canned food items, which go to the Central Missouri Food Bank.

The Black & Gold Game is being televised live nationally on ESPN-U, and Tiger fans are asked to come out and show their support for the team.  The first 5,000 fans in the stadium that day will receive free Mizzou football gold t-shirts.  A live musical act will be on hand in the North Concourse area inside the stadium, as will various inflatable games and other activities for young and old alike, and the Tiger Team Store will be holding its annual spring sale, with significant discounts available on new Tiger gear, as well as team practice and game equipment and uniforms.
