Cook was a State qualifier all four years at Edwardsville High School and claimed two top-10 finishes, including a second-place showing in her freshman season. "Marissa will be a great addition to our team and will really compliment the already talented group of recruits that we have coming in next fall," Priesmeyer said. "She is a long hitter with a lot of potential to be a great college golfer."

Cook qualified for the USGA Girls Junior Championships in 2005 and was a two-time qualifier for the USGA Women's Amateur Public Links Championship (2003, 2005). She also qualified for the 2005 PGA Westfield Girls Junior Championship.

She will join Hannah Lovelock of Surrey, England and Alex Bell of Richmond, Ind. as newcomers to the Tigers next fall.
