Tigers Take Ninth in Las Vegas Showdown

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - - The Missouri women's golf team concluded its fall schedule with a final round 298 at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown. The Tigers finished with a three-round total of 895, placing them ninth in the event.
Denver won the tournament with a three-round total of 858.
Sophomore Julia Potter and junior Chelsea Schriewer led Mizzou in the Showdown, finishing among a group tied for 23rd place with 54-hole totals of 222. Potter carded a 74 on Wednesday, while Schriewer turned in a final round 75.
Senior Madde Augustsson shot a 75 on Wednesday and finished in a tie for 35th place with a three-round score of 225. Sophomore Michelle Morgan had the best round of the day for the Tigers, carding a one-over-par 73 and finishing in a tie for 41st place with a 226 total.
Redshirt freshman Madison Marcolla had a 54-hole total of 253 after a final round 78.
The tournament was the final of the Fall 2007 schedule for MU. It will open up the 2008 schedule with the Central District Invitational in Parrish, Fla. On Feb. 18-19.
