Tigers Wrap Up Nebraska Road Trip at Creighton

FIRST PITCH
After opening Big 12 Conference play by going 2-1 at Nebraska last weekend, Mizzou will make the short drive from Lincoln to Omaha to face Creighton at 4 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers are 20-6 on the year and are ranked No. 25 in this week's Collegiate Baseball Top 30 and No. 28 in the NCBWA poll. It is the first ranking for Mizzou since finishing last season at No. 16. Following Tuesday's game, the Tigers will return to Taylor Stadium for the first home conference series of the season, hosting Kansas Friday-Sunday.

QUICK HITS
- Missouri is ranked No. 25 in this week's Collegiate Baseball's Top 30 and are No. 28 in the NCBWA Top 30. The Tigers are the also receiving votes in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll.
- Mizzou had a 14-game winning streak snapped last Sunday. The streak was the longest for the Tigers since a 15-game streak in 2005. In 2006, the longest winning streak was six games.
- The Tigers won their Big 12 Conference opener for the third-straight year with a 5-1 win in 11 innings over Nebraska last Friday.
- The Tigers have won all four of its three-game series this season, including sweeps in the first three series.
- Missouri continues to lead the Big 12 Conference with a 3.01 ERA. - Sophomore Aaron Crow's 2.15 ERA in fourth best in the Big 12, while freshman Kyle Gibson is fifth with a 2.54 ERA and freshman Greg Folgia is 19th with a 3.49 mark.
- Freshman Kyle Gibson picked up two saves and a win in MU's five-game from March 14-18. Gibson has five saves on the year, fourth most in the Big 12. Opponents are hitting just .169 off of Gibson, which leads the Big 12 Conference.
- Junior Evan Frey ranks fourth in the Big 12 Conference with 34 runs scored on the year. Frey is also tied for third in the league with four triples and is third with 21 walks.
- Mizzou picked up back-to-back 11-0 shutouts against Youngstown State on March 4 and has three shutouts on the season.
- The two wins over YSU on March 4 marked the first doubleheader sweep for MU since Feb. 17, 2006 against Louisiana-Monroe.

Missouri returns to Taylor Stadium this weekend for a three-game series with Kansas. The series will get underway at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and continues with games at 2 p.m Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
