The win is the first for the Tigers in games decided by five points or less this season. The Tigers were previously 0-5 in tight games. It is also the third time in four years that the Tigers have swept both teams from the Sooner state.

The Tigers held the Sooners to under 40 percent shooting. This season Oklahoma has shot 45 percent from the field. The Tigers also denied Oklahoma from getting any easy looks at the basket, holding them to only 14 points in the paint while scoring 38 of their own.

The win earns the Tigers their first three-game winning streak in conference play since February of 2005 when they knocked off Oklahoma 70-66 in overtime. The 17th win earns the Tigers the most wins since the 2002-03 season when they had 22.

Missouri has won the last five regular season meetings against Oklahoma, dating back to 2002. Last season Marshall Brown knocked down two free throws with 1.8 seconds to play to earn the 71-69 victory in Norman. The last four meetings have been decided by a total of 14 points.

The Tigers used a 19-2 run late in the first half to widen the gap. With six minutes to go in the half, the Sooners led 22-16, but the Tigers closed the gap, and led at the half 35-28. The Tigers are now 15-3 when leading at halftime.

The Sooners regained the lead using a 16-4 run scoring two baskets in the final :10 seconds of the first half. Oklahoma continued their hot hand and gained a 40-39 lead. The Tigers regained the lead on their next possession as Daryl Butterfield hit a lay up.

The Tigers used a good performance at the line to seal the deal. As a team, the Tigers shot 16-21 from the line, good enough for 76 percent. The Sooners could blame the loss on 9-16 shooting at the line registering 56 percent.

Over the last two games, Matt Lawrence is 8-13 from beyond the arc and 9-14 from the field. Lawrence launched six treys tonight, connecting on three. Lawrence scored 15 in Stillwater while putting up 11 points tonight.

Leo Lyons used 5-6 shooting to earn a Big 12 high this season scoring 14 points. Lyons was also clutch from the line hitting 4-5 free throws.

Mike Anderson is now 4-0 all time against Jeff Capel. The two met three times while Anderson was at UAB and Capel was at Virginia Commonwealth, with Anderson besting him all three times.

Keon Lawrence was almost perfect from the stripe shooting a career high 7-8. Lawrence hit his last four from the line to help the Tigers earn the victory.
