The Missouri women's swimming and diving team made its first appearance of the season in the College Swim Coaches Association of America Top 25 poll, coming in at No. 25 Thursday.

The Tigers are 1-1 on the season and coming off an impressive 187-111 home victory over Kansas last Friday. The Tigers recorded 49 individual season-bests in the meet and freshman Colleen Gordon swam an NCAA "B" cut time of 4:52.77 in the 500 freestyle.

The Tigers were the second team receiving votes in the initial poll two weeks ago and concluded the 2005-06 campaign ranked No. 25.

Big 12 rivals Texas A&M and Texas are ninth and 12th, respectively in the women's poll. Louisville is listed among the others receiving votes on the women's side, and the Southern Illinois men, who will swim against Mizzou this weekend, are the sixth team listed among the others receiving votes.

Both Mizzou squads will be in action this weekend when they welcome Drury, Iowa, Louisville and SIU to the Mizzou Aquatic Center for the Mizzou Dual Challenge. Swimming gets underway on Friday at 5 p.m. CT.
