Columbia, Mo. - With the exhibition season on the horizon, the University of Missouri Men's Basketball team will host its annual Black and Gold Game on Oct. 27, serving as a formal dress rehearsal before the Tigers open preseason competition against Missouri-Rolla on Nov. 3.

Start time for the Black and Gold Game is slated for 7 p.m. and doors to Mizzou Arena open at 6 p.m. The cost of the event is $5 per person, but a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Columbia and Coaches vs. Cancer.

In addition to a full scrimmage by the 2006-07 Tigers, members of the team will be signing pre-game autographs on the concourse of Mizzou Arena. The scrimmage is then slated to begin at approximately 7 p.m.

The 2006 Black and Gold Game tips-off an exciting weekend of Mizzou Athletics. Following Friday evening's scrimmage, the Tiger football team will face the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday (Oct. 28) morning at 11 a.m. at Memorial Stadium / Faurot Field.
