Mizzou Men's Basketball Releases Finalized Television Schedule

Oct. 18, 2006

Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri Department of Athletics and Mizzou Sports Properties have announced the finalized television schedule for Mizzou Men's Basketball this season.

The Tigers will enjoy 28 televised games during Mike Anderson's initial campaign, including 16 on the Mizzou Sports Network (MSN), seven on ESPN-Plus, four on the ESPN family networks (ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN360) and one on ABC.

The Tigers have just three of 31 scheduled contests not televised this season, with each of those games coming at home during the season's first 15 days. Due to market conflicts, the Tigers were unable to receive sufficient clearance for games against North Carolina A&T on Nov. 10, Lipscomb on Nov. 16 and Stephen F. Austin on Nov. 25. All three non-televised dates are at home however and single-game tickets for each of those games are now on sale.

The Nov. 10 contest vs. North Carolina A&T will be the first game of the Mike Anderson Era at Mizzou and comes on the opening day of the John Thompson Foundation Classic at Mizzou Arena. The John Thompson Classic is a four-team, round-robin tournament and there will be two games played each day at Mizzou Arena. After the Nov. 10 contest with North Carolina A&T, the Tigers will conclude the tourney with games against Army (Nov. 11) and Stetson (Nov. 12).

While practice for the 2006-07 season opened on Oct. 13 at Mizzou Madness, fans will be able to get another early look at this season's club at the annual Black and Gold Game on Oct. 27 at Mizzou Arena. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. and tickets to the event are just $5, with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit the Boys and Girls Club and Coaches vs. Cancer.

Season tickets and a select number of single-game seats are now on sale at the Mizzou Athletics Ticket Office. Please call 1-800-CAT-PAWS to reserve your seat for Head Coach Mike Anderson's first season in Columbia.
