Columbia, Mo. - The nationally-ranked University of Missouri Football program has yet another nationally-televised contest on its schedule. Following a resounding 31-6 win over Ohio University on Saturday, the Big 12 Conference and TBS have announced that the 25th-ranked Tigers will face Texas Tech University on TBS when the two teams meet in Lubbock, Texas, on Oct. 7.
The contest vs. the Red Raiders, which is scheduled for 6 p.m. (CT), will be Mizzou's fourth TV appearance of the season and first on the Superstation. The Tigers are currently 2-0 in televised games this season after defeating Ole Miss and New Mexico earlier this year. Mizzou's Big 12 Conference-opener against Colorado this Saturday (Sept. 30) will also be televised. Fox Sports Net will carry the game at 11:30 a.m.
Bolstered by the nation's top defensive unit (allowing just 175.25 yards per game), Mizzou is off to an undefeated 4-0 start and will take on Colorado looking to earn its first 5-0 start since 1981. Mizzou's current string of five consecutive wins (dating back to last season's Independence Bowl win over South Carolina) is the sixth-longest active streak nationally and tops in the Big 12.
Tickets for Saturday's contest against Colorado are still available. Fans can purchase a special "4-Pack" of Tickets for just $80 by calling the Mizzou Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-CAT-PAWS. That rate of $80 for four reserved south endzone tickets is a savings of $100 off the regular ticket price.
