COLUMBIA - When it comes to fall team sports, the University of Missouri is currently among only five other schools in the nation that have their respective football, women's volleyball, and women's soccer programs concurrently ranked in the nation's top 25. The football team joined the ranks as part of the Associated Press' Top 25 yesterday. Earlier today, the latest AVCA Volleyball Coaches Poll was released to find Mizzou No. 19 after its upset sweep over No. 5 Texas Saturday. And, the women's soccer team is ranked No. 22 in the NSCAA Coaches Poll.
Using the three major polls, only Florida, Texas, Tennessee, Cal, and Missouri have spots in the nation's top 25 in the three sports.
The football team hosts Colorado in an 11:30 a.m. tilt on Saturday and will be aired live on FSN. Volleyball will host Baylor at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday before traveling to Texas Tech on Saturday. Soccer hosts a pair of matches this weekend with Texas Tech visiting Columbia Friday for a 6:30 p.m. match. The soccer squad will also host Baylor on Sunday in a 1 p.m. start.
