Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri, in conjunction with the Mountain West Conference, College Sports Television (CSTV), Fox 38 in Columbia, KPLR-TV in St. Louis and KMCI-TV in Kansas City, will bring Tiger fans live, televised action of Mizzou's Sept. 16 gridiron contest at New Mexico.

Mizzou's game time with the Lobos is scheduled for 7 p.m. (CT) and can be viewed on Fox 38 in mid-Missouri, KPLR in St. Louis and KMCI in Kansas City.

"We certainly understand the interest and support for Mizzou football around the state and wanted to do everything in our power to bring a televised game back to as many of Mizzou's fans as possible," Director of Athletics Mike Alden said. "This doesn't happen without the support of so many generous people and organizations. We certainly thank the folks at CSTV and the Mountain West Conference and greatly appreciate the sacrifices made by our media partners, Fox 38, KPLR and KMCI. We also salute the Tiger Clubs of Kansas City and St. Louis. Their generosity helped bring this televised contest back to our fans."

Carried live by the Mountain West Conference Television Network, an affiliate of CSTV, the game was originally slated not to be carried in Missouri, but media support from the above partners, along with the financial backing of the Tiger Clubs of Kansas City and St. Louis will allow for Mizzou fans across the state to see their 2-0 Tigers battle New Mexico on Saturday night.

Mizzou Head Coach Gary Pinkel "I appreciate, as does everyone in our program, the spirit of cooperation that all of these entities have worked with to get this game on television for our fans," Head Coach Gary Pinkel said. "I understand that something like this doesn't just happen with the snap of a finger, so everyone should be commended for making this happen, and I certainly hope that our fans will enjoy this special opportunity to see the game."

Mizzou Director of Broadcast Operations Mike Kelly
"Our fans deserve the opportunity to watch this game," Director of Broadcast Operations Mike Kelly said. "Fortunately, CSTV and our friends at KPLR, KMCI and Fox 38 agreed and have worked extremely hard to make this happen."

Randy Wright, Vice President, General Manager for KMIZ-TV, KQFX-TV, KZOU-TV "We're very excited to have forged this unique partnership with CSTV and Mizzou Athletics. Our stations always find innovative ways to work with other media outlets and this is a classic example of how we work to bring the Tigers to our viewers in Mid-Missouri."

Bill Lanesey, General Manager for KPLR-TV in St. Louis "It fit nicely into our schedule and it made sense to broadcast the 2-0 Missouri Tigers," KPLR General Manager Bill Lanesey said. "We launch our new network, the CW, on Monday, so we were in the process of clearing programs for that time-slot anyway. We have Cardinal Baseball on that afternoon, so it was a terrific opportunity to add more local sports to our broadcast and a great way to support the loyal fan base at Missouri."

Craig Allison, Vice-President, General Manager for KMCI-TV in Kansas City
"We know Mizzou is off to a great start this season and we are pleased to bring this contest to Tiger fans in the Greater Kansas City area," KMCI General Manager Craig Allison said. "Tiger fans certainly wanted the opportunity to view this game and we are pleased to bring it to them."
