COLUMBIA, Mo. - The University of Missouri Department of Athletics is hosting two premier events this fall beginning with the Xs & Os women's football clinic Saturday, August 26 and followed by Tailgate Mizzou: Maui Style, Friday, Sept. 8. Both events are open to the public and registration is now being accepted.

Co-hosted by Vicki Pinkel and Rockie Alden, the Xs & O's women's football clinic, now in its sixth year, will begin at 11:30 a.m. (CT) in the Tiger Lounge at Memorial Stadium with registration opening at 10:30 a.m. Tickets to the event are $30 and include brunch overlooking Mizzou football practice, beverage and a gift with all proceeds benefiting the Tiger Send-A-Kid Program. Mizzou Women's Connection members will receive one complimentary ticket. The clinic, which provides informational sessions on football travel and operations, compliance questions and answers and beginning and advanced football tips, will be followed with a tour of the Mizzou Athletics Training Complex. Missouri football Head Coach Gary Pinkel and football co-captains will make special appearances. The Missouri Department of Athletics in conjunction with Premier Bank is proud to present this year's Tailgate Mizzou on Friday, Sept. 8, beginning at 5:30 p.m. (CT) in Mizzou Arena. Tickets to the event are $50 per person or $500 for a table of eight and reservations are due by Monday, August 28. Included in the ticket price are cocktails, dinner, both a silent and live auction and live entertainment. The Hawaiian Luau-themed event will benefit the Tiger Scholarship Fund, used to cover scholarship expenses for more than 500 young men and women student-athletes who benefit from these resources while attending the University of Missouri.
