Registration Open for Mizzou Girl's Basketball Camps

May 31, 2006

Columbia, Mo. -

One of the top instructional basketball camps for girls in the Midwest will get underway soon at the University of Missouri, as the Mizzou Girls Basketball summer camps will hit the hardwood with six different sessions to be held in Columbia throughout the summer months.

Head Coach Cindy Stein and her staff that led Mizzou to an NCAA Tournament berth last season will be on hand for the camps, as will former Tiger standouts Evan Unrau and Kerensa Barr and others.  Additionally, fans of current players EeTisha Riddle, Tiffany Brooks and Carlynn Savant will get to rub elbows with their favorites, as those players are scheduled to serve as camp counselors this year.

The first camp scheduled is the Individual Camp 1, set for June 11-14, with five others running through June and July, concluding with the final Individual Camp 2, which runs July 12-15.  In between are specialized sessions such as the Day Camp (June 19-22), Team Camp (June 23-25), Position Camp (June 30-July 1) and Elite Camp (June 30-July 1).

Spots are filling up quickly, so those interested are advised to register soon.  Registration is available online, and the camp brochure is available online for downloading.  For more information, please visit the camp website at www.mutigers.com and click on the "Camps" link on the left-hand side of the site.  Questions may also be addressed to Toni Hayes in the MU Basketball Office, by calling 573-882-1002.
