Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri Wrestling and Media Relations staffs collaborated on yet another national champion on Monday, when Wrestling USA Magazine cited Mizzou Assistant Media Relations Director Emily Gatewood as having the nation's top wrestling media guide.

Gatewood, who is in her fourth year as a member of the Mizzou Media Relations office, outdid Ohio's Bob Lee and Army's Christian Anderson for the top award. Gatewood's guide was also the lone Big 12 Conference publication cited for excellence by Wrestling USA and marks her second national award after her 2003-04 media guide placed fifth nationally.

A native of Burke, Va, Gatewood graduated from Elon College in 2000 with a double major in corporate and broadcast communications and earned her M.A. in sports communications from the University Nebraska in 2003.
