Missouri Head Softball Coach Ty Singleton announced today the dates of two TigerBall summer camps to be held on the University of Missouri campus, July 5-7 and July 10-13.
A Summer Skills Camp, held Wednesday, July 5 through Friday, July 7, will be offered for students ages 8-21. Campers will put the fun back into fundamentals in this camp as they improve their softball skills in hitting, short-game, baserunning, defense, plus pitching and catching. Campers will learn the drills used by the Mizzou team and enjoy some great surprises along the way.
Overnight campers will stay in the Missouri dorms, and day campers are also welcome. Meals, athletic training, and 24 hour supervision provided for both camps.
"This camp keeps getting better-and-better and this year we expect even more young campers to come in and enjoy some fun softball with our coaches and players," Singleton said.
The second TigerBall camp, Elite Competition Camp, will be held Monday, July 10 through Thursday, July 13 for students ages 15-21. A very competitive and fun camp for high school and junior college athletes looking to pursue or further a college softball career, the Elite Competition camp will provide advanced instruction and live game competition, plus strength and conditioning training that will challenge campers to see if they have what it takes to play big-time college softball. Guest coaches from high school, club, college and international teams. Registration is limited by camp size.
"Elite camp has been our summer trademark for us here at Mizzou, and we are expecting another great group of campers to come in and get after it all day long and into the crisp summer night out at University Field," Singleton said.
