April 25, 2006

Former Mizzou women's basketball standouts LaToya Bond and Christelle N'Garsanet have spent the past several days involved in the opening stages of their respective WNBA teams' training camps, and both also met with the media yesterday.

N'Garsanet, who was selected in the third round of the WNBA Draft by the New York Liberty, was featured in a photo in today's edition of the New York Times. During media day with the Charlotte Sting yesterday, Bond also got some face time in front of the cameras.

Graduate Assistant Evan Unrau is also in training camp with the Washington Mystics, the team that drafted her in 2004.

Former All-American Amanda Lassiter, who ended last season as a restricted free agent with the Minnesota Lynx, signed a contract with the expansion Chicago Sky on Friday.
