Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri women's tennis doubles duo of Katka Sevcikova and Urska Juric has been selected to the Big 12 Conference women's 10th Anniversary Team. They join two other doubles teams on the list, along with six singles players.
The duo made the All Big 12 first team in 2002, 2003 and 2004. In the 2001-02 season, they went 37-8, to give them a .822 winning percentage. The percentage made the duo the most successful doubles team in Missouri women's tennis history. Sevcikova and Juric also won both the 2001 and 2002 ITA Central Region Indoor Doubles Championship. In 2003, they qualified for the NCAA Doubles Tournament.
Katka Sevcikova (Prague, Czech Republic) earned All-Big 12 honors for singles in 2003, 2004 and 2005 and was an Academic All-Big 12 first team selection in 2005.
Urska Juric (Placar, Slovenia) earned All-Big 12 singles honors in 2002, 2003 and 2004. She graduated in May 2004 with a 3.81 GPA in marketing and is currently in her second season as the assistant coach on Missouri's women's tennis team.
