Columbia, Mo. - With Oklahoma State's 79-76 win over Baylor and Colorado's 84-82 win over Iowa State, Missouri's Big 12 Tournament scenario has cleared up:
If Mizzou defeats Nebraska on Sunday ...
The Tigers will enter the Phillips 66 Big 12 Tournament as the No. 11 seed and will face No. 6 Nebraska on Thursday (March 9) at 8:20 p.m. on ESPN2. Regardless of Sunday's outcome, Nebraska will be the No. 6 seed at the Big 12 Tourney.
Nebraska and Mizzou would be aligned to face the No. 3 seed, which will be the loser of Sunday's Oklahoma at Texas tilt. The game is scheduled for 3 p.m. on CBS. That second round contest is scheduled for Friday (March 10) at 8:20 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN Plus and ESPNU.
If Nebraska defeats Missouri on Sunday ...
The Tigers will enter the Phillips 66 Big 12 Tournament as the No. 12 seed and will face No. 5 Colorado at 2 p.m. on ESPN Plus and ESPNU. The Buffalos won both regular-season meetings with the Tigers. Colorado earned a 74-71 win over Mizzou on Jan. 14 at Mizzou Arena and a 78-60 win on Feb. 25 at the Coors Event Center.
Colorado and Mizzou would be aligned to face No. 4 Texas A&M in the second round on Friday (March 10) at 2 p.m. on ESPN Plus and ESPNU.
