It is that time of the year when classes are most demanding and your body lets you know just how much you have been pounding it. Mentally you tell yourself that you can push through it, but every now and then the physical strains win the battle. This is exactly what happened with our team as a whole in Iowa City. This is a team that has dealt with all kinds of adversity, therefore the judging, the equipment, and the atmosphere had slim to none to do with our performance. We have been such a consistent team all year long and this competition just reminded us, and all that were present, that we are human. For some teams this type of performance would bring them down, but not the tigers. We dealt with each off routine and every wince of pain with great attitudes. Not one person gave up or gave in to the general theme of the night. I have to say it felt like one of the longest competitions of my life, but it is comforting to know that no matter how good or bad things are going we can still count on the full support of our teammates & the best effort in each individual's performance. Because we have such high expectations for ourselves we are even more geared up for this weekend's meet after coming off of such an off competition. We will be hosting our last home meet of the season this Friday at the Hearnes Center at 7 p.m. Let's pack the house this Friday and send off our seniors with lots of love!
Go Tigers!
