
Missouri Clinches Series Win with 7-3 Victory

COLUMBIA, Mo. - - The Mizzou Baseball team defeated Texas A&M 7-3 on Saturday at Taylor Stadium to clinch the series win. The Tigers have won each of their first three Big 12 series of the year and lead the conference with a 7-1 record.
Texas A&M jumped out to an early lead as Tom Sebek led off the game with a home run over the right center field wall.
Mizzou answered with four runs in the bottom of the first inning, as the first four batters to the plate in inning reached and all would score.
The Aggies cut the lead to one with two runs in the top of the fourth, but the Tigers would get the runs back with a pair of runs in the sixth and then added a run in the bottom of the seventh.
Sophomore Nathan Culp remained unbeaten, as he moved to 6-0 on the season. He allowed three runs on nine hits in five innings pitched, striking out two and walking one.
Junior Andrew Johnston came on for the final four innings and did not allow a hit to record his first save as a Tiger.
Juniors James Boone and Derek Chambers each had two hits for MU against Texas A&M.
With Nebraska's 11-4 loss to Texas on Saturday, Mizzou is now is first place in the Big 12, one game ahead of the Cornhuskers.
The final game of the three-game series is set for 1 p.m. on Sunday.
