
#72 Mizzou Tops Murray State, 7-0

Columbia, Mo.-The #72 Missouri tennis team got back to its winning way defeating the Murray State Racers 7-0. The win improves Tigers to a 5-2 season record and extends their home match stand to 3-0 in the Green Tennis Center.
The Tigers jumped to the early lead clinching the doubles point sweeping all three matches. The Racer duo of Jackly Leeper and Casady Pruitt threatened the Tiger sweep at No. 3 doubles. The pair forced the match to an extra set before the Tiger team of Lubica Nadassaka and Charlotte Bellis pulled out the victory 9-8.
The Tigers continued to dominate in singles competition winning all six matches. Highlighting for the Tigers was the play of the newcomers Charlotte Bellis and Lubica Nadassaka. Along with helping the team clinch the doubles point, both won their matches in straight sets.
Missouri faces Big 12 Conference foe Iowa State Sun., Feb. 20 at 11:00 a.m. The Tigers continue league play on Sat., Feb. 26 at 2:00 p.m., when they host the Colorado Buffaloes. All Missouri tennis matches are held in Mizzou's Green Tennis Center and are open to the public.
