EL PASO, Texas - - Missouri junior Shawn Jasper shot a three-under par 68 in the final round of the Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic at the El Paso Country Club. He finished in a tie for 12th place in a field that included seven first team All-Americans and three members of the 2005 Walker Cup team.
Jasper's three-round total of 210 (77-65-68) put him in a tie with Matt Every of the University of Florida.
The 2005 Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic ranks as the No. 1 tournament in the country, according to Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index. The tournament is hosted by the Sun Bowl Association and is played at the par 71, 6,781 yard El Paso Country Club. A $1,000 scholarship is awarded to each university that has a golfer participating in the tournament.
