Give Thanks and Get Thanks At A Super Tiger Sunday

Nov. 16, 2005

COLUMBIA, Mo.--Missouri's women's volleyball and men's basketball fans are in for a treat this upcoming Sunday. As with a volleyball start at 12:30 that pits the No. 11 Tigers against No. 10 Texas in the Hearnes Center, fans can get into the weekend's premiere Big 12 match for only two canned-goods to benefit the Central Missouri Food Bank and get fed brunch items as part of "Breakfast With The Tigers". Those basketball fans that are coming to Mizzou Arena to watch the Tigers take on Northwestern State at 2 p.m., are encouraged to make Sunday a multi-sport afternoon.

In addition, Missouri wrestling kicks off their home schedule by hosting the Missouri Open in the Hearnes Fieldhouse, starting at 9 a.m., Sunday morning. More than 17 schools will be in attendance, and the same deal for the volleyball match applies to those wrestling fans in attendance.

The women's volleyball Tigers (19-4, 13-4 Big 12) are fighting for a second-place finish in the Big 12 Conference and are entering the final two weeks of regular-season competition, looking to improve a possible seed in December's NCAA Tournament.

Gates for wrestling's Missouri Open will open at 8 a.m., while gates for the volleyball match will open at 11:30 a.m.

PARKING ISSUES: Those without parking passes for men's basketball will be directed to the east side of the Hearnes Center. Additional free parking will be used on the west side of Memorial Stadium if needed.
