Columbia, Mo. -
The University of Missouri football game at the University of Kansas on Oct. 29th will kickoff at Noon (central), as announced today by KU athletic officials.
Mizzou, 4-2 overall and 2-1 in Big 12 play heading into this Saturday's home game with Nebraska, will look to break a two-game losing streak to their border rivals when they visit Lawrence next week. Kansas (3-3, 0-3) has dropped its last three games after going a perfect 3-0 in non-conference play to begin the 2005 season. Kansas plays at Big 12 North Division co-leader Colorado this Saturday.
The game will be worth three points in the Midwest Ford Dealers MU-KU Border Showdown standings. Mizzou currently leads the 2005-06 competition 1.5-to-0 with the sole head-to-head competition thus far being won by the Tigers in volleyball (3-0 MU win in Columbia on Oct. 15th).
Mizzou has won two of the first three years for the showdown, claiming overall victories in 2002-03 (32.0-to8.5) and 2004-05 (22.5-to-17.5), while Kansas claimed the title in 2003-04 (21.5-to-18.5).
