Mizzou freshman Jacob Priday was named to Baseball America's Freshman All-America Team on Wednesday. Priday, who hit .305 for Missouri in 2005, is the fist Tiger to earn the honor since 2002.
Priday played in 60 of MU's 63 games last season, starting 58 times. He led the team with nine home runs and had 67 RBI, which was third most in the Big 12 Conference. He had 13 doubles, three triples and a .511 slugging percentage.
He was an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention selection and earned a spot on the All-Big 12 Tournament Team.
The last Mizzou player to earn Freshman All-American status was Travis Wendte in 2002.
The teams were selected by the staff of Baseball America.
