Columbia, Mo. - Seventeen Missouri softball games will be picked up and broadcast by local radio station KCOU (88.1 FM), beginning with today's 4 p.m. game on University Field against Southwest Missouri State.
Eighteen of Missouri's home games, including battles with 11th-ranked Oklahoma, No. 5 Texas, No. 10 Texas A&M and No. 19 Nebraska will be available to fans on KCOU through the radio at 88.1 FM.
Currently ranked 18th in the nation, the Tigers are 20-2 on the season and look to extend their win streak to 12 straight games with a victory over SMS. Missouri leads the Bears 25-8 in the all-time series and topped them earlier in the season with an 8-0 shutout at the Coaches Against Cancer Tournament, March 5, in Kansas City, Mo.
Missouri enters today's game coming off of a three-game sweep at home against Drake in which the Tigers tallied 28 hits including eight home runs (two grand slams) and compiled a .378 team batting average.
Following today's game, the Tigers will travel to Evansville, Ind., Wednesday, March 16, for a 3 p.m. game against the Evansville Purple Aces.
