Schoborg and Wolfert Earns Student-Athlete Honors

Columbia, Mo. -Missouri junior Liz Schoborg (swimming and diving) and freshman Jeff Wolfelt (swimming and diving) were named this week's Lathrop & Gage student-athletes of the week. Both students hold above a 3.0 grade-point average, are successful members on their respective teams and are active in the community through various outreach programs.

A native of Overland Park, Kan., Wolfelt holds a 3.37 grade-point average and is majoring in horticulture. Wolfelt currently places second on the team in both the one and three meter diving performance lists. Woelfet and three other Tigers set season marks on the three meter board at the TYR Invitational in Evanston, Ind. He also finished sixth at the Big 12 Championships on the platform. Outside of the classroom and away from the pool, Wolfelt participated in the MS 150 Bike race.

Schoborg, majoring in psychology, currently holds a 3.16 grade-point average and has helped the community through her participation in the MS 150 Race and as a representative to the Student Athletic Advisory Committee. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio Schoborg places among the top five in all events that she participates in.

The swimming and diving teams travel to their respective sites for the NCAA Championships. The women head to West Lafayette, Ind., and the men travel to Minneapolis, Minn.
