Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri Men's Basketball Team will face DePaul in the first round of the National Invitation Tournament on Tuesday night at 8:00 p.m. CST in Columbia, MO. The contest will be broadcast on ESPN marking the second straight season the Tigers' opening round game of the NIT will be broadcast on the Network. This marks the seventh straight season the Tigers have advanced to the post season and the second straight season they will take part in the NIT.
The Tigers finished the season with a 16-16 overall record and won six of their final nine games. MU advanced to the second round of the Big 12 Tournament for the eighth straight year last Thursday when it defeated Nebraska before falling to No. 17 Oklahoma in the second round on Friday.
"We have made great strides during the second half of the season, working together as a team to try and improve in all facets of the game," Head Coach Quin Snyder said. "We are anxious to continue playing, in the NIT, against DePaul and continue to build on some of the things we have accomplished these last few weeks."
Mizzou has faced DePaul four times in the history of the program with the two squads splitting the four meetings. DePaul won the latest matchup between the two on Dec. 29, 2001 in Chicago, 63-62.
General Admission tickets will be available starting this evening via the web at www.mutigers.com and all tickets will be available starting at 8 a.m. by calling 1-800 CAT PAWS or by visiting the MU ticket office located at the Mizzou Arena. All seating in the arena including lower level areas is general admission except for club level seats which are reserved for Tiger Scholarship Fund members. All parking for the event is first come-first serve. Fans are encouraged to arrive at the arena as early as possible with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. For a complete tournament bracket, log on to www.nit.org.

- MU Students with a valid MU Student ID - $5
- General Public Tickets - $10 general admission seating
- Reserved Club Level Tickets for Tiger Scholarship fund members only - $20 (Club Seats)

- Mizzou is 1-6 all-time in the postseason NIT.
- This is the Tigers seventh appearance in the NIT.
- The Tigers dropped their last game in the NIT to Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI, 65-64 in 2004
- The Tigers have hosted an NIT game three times. The last time hosted a game in Columbia was in 1998 when they lost to Alabama-Birmingham, 93-86.
