Columbia, Mo.-- In the first individual Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings of the season, Mizzou's Katka Sevcikova has climbed to #63 seeing the highest individual ranking of her career.

After opening the year ranked #120 in pre-season standings, Sevcikova's advancement comes on the heels of an impressive season opening seeing wins on the national scene. Aiding her 57 ranking climb, the senior bested Indiana's #16 Dora Vastag and Nebraska's #19 Gitte Ostermann.

No stranger to ITA rankings, Sevcikova received recognition during her sophomore campaign when she and doubles partner Urska Juric ranked as high as #4. During that year the pair won the Big 12 regular season doubles title, claimed the ITA Central Region doubles championship and won the National Indoor Championship.
