#32 Missouri Hosts #23 Nebraska
Jumping back into Big 12 Conference action, the Tigers host the #23 Nebraska Cornhuskers in dual meet competition on Friday, January 28 at 7:00 p.m., in the Hearnes Center.

Mizzou heads to Pennsylvania next weekend to compete in the Penn State Invitational on Friday, February 25 at 7:00 p.m. (EST). The Tigers face Penn State and New Hampshire in the tri-team tournament.

2005 Mizzou Pink Out
Pairing success in the competitive arena with the fight against breast cancer, the Mizzou Tigers first annual Pink Out kicked off the 2005 Missouri home gymnastics season on a high note. In addition to seeing the Tigers best Centenary 191.275-188.225 to take their season record to 2-4, Mizzou helped raise over $1,600 toward breast cancer awareness and research efforts at Ellis Fischel Cancer Hospital.

Scouting #23 Nebraska
The Huskers are 0-3 on the year falling to Michigan, UCLA and Florida. Heading into their fourth consecutive road meet, Nebraska ranks 23rd nationally and fifth in the South Central Region owning a 194.200 season high and a 193.425 season average.

Pairing well against Nebraska, the Tigers top the Huskers in South Central Region standings on vault and floor, while Nebraska leads the region with 48.912 uneven bars average. The Huskers rank third on beam averaging a 48.212 team total.

Last season, the Huskers went 15-9-1 finishing 10th nationally and fourth in the Big 12 Conference.

Nebraska owns the MU-NU series 26-3. In their last match-up, the Tigers defeated the Huskers 196.425-196.175 at the Big 12 Championship -- Mizzou's first victory over NU as a Big 12 program. The Tigers have not defeated Nebraska in dual meet competition since the 1995 season when Mizzou bested the Huskers 188.150-187.500.

Centenary Highlights
Aiding the fight for breast cancer and picking up their second victory of the season, the Mizzou Tigers saw success in all areas of the arena. Highlighting the meet setting new attendance heights, the Tigers welcomed 1,686 fans to its home opener against Centenary. It is the highest attendance at a home opening meet in Mizzou history.

Continually looking to reach new heights, the Tigers also topped a season mark on vault scoring a 48.650. Tying individual season highs, Alisha Robinson led the event scoring a 9.850, while Whitney Crater shined scoring a 9.800 to finish second. Hitting solid vaults across the board, Lauren Schwartzman (9.700), Ashley Khederian (9.675), Kelley Andersen (9.625) and Jodie Heinicka (9.600) swept the top six.

Finishing the meet with a strong showing on floor, the Tigers scored a 48.350 seeing six solid routines. Pairing for another one, two three individual finish, Robinson led the field scoring a 9.800, Crater finished second with a 9.750 and Schwartzman scored a 9.725 to finish third.

Taking top seed in the all-around competition, Khederian picked up her first meet title scoring a 38.175 while Robinson finished second with a 37.825.

Tiger Rankings
Mizzou ranks in as the 32nd team in the nation this week owning a 192.080 average. A national headliner, Mizzou ranks 23rd (48.575) on beam, 28th on vault (48.033) and floor (48.425) and 58th on bars (46.975).

In the South Central Region, Mizzou comes in as the seventh ranked team. The Tigers rank third in the region on vault, fifth on floor, sixth on beam and come in eighth on the uneven bars.
