Registration is available for the University of Missouri volleyball summer camps, to be held during the month of July. Last year over 930 campers took part in the camps and this year the Tigers will hold five camps on the MU campus.
The Team Camp is a three-day camp which includes competitive team-play and practices. The camp will take place from July 10-12 and will include varsity and junior varsity divisions.
The Elite Camp, which will be held July 13-16, is geared towards the more experienced, high school-aged, college-bound athlete. It is a comprehensive camp that will cover techniques, strength and conditioning, nutrition and more. An additional day and sessions have been added to the Elite Camp for the 2004 year.
Two All-Skills Camps will take place which will include skill instruction in all facets of the game. The first will be held July 13-15 and the second camp is set for July 19-21.
The final camp is the Specialty Camp, to be held July 19-21. This camp will focus on advanced skill development by position and is recommended for the intermediate to advanced player.
The prices for the Missouri Volleyball Camps range from $200 for the Team Camp, $225 for the All-Skills and Specialty Camps and $295 for the Elite Camp. Commuter prices (does not include lodging or meals) are the listed price minus $55.
Head Coach Susan Kreklow and Associate Head Coach Wayne Kreklow are once again hosting the camps on the MU campus. The Kreklows have led the Tigers to four consecutive NCAA Tournaments since arriving at MU in 2000.
