Columbia, Mo. - Only a few tickets remain in the reserved Missouri section for both the Big 12 Wrestling Conference Championships and NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships.
The fifth-ranked Missouri wrestling team will head to Ames, Iowa, for the eighth annual Big 12 Conference Championships, Saturday, March 6, in Hilton Coliseum. Reserved seating is still available for only $17. The all-day event will kick off at 11 a.m., with semifinals scheduled to begin at Noon and finals at 7 p.m. Of the five teams in the conference, four, including Missouri, stand among the top five teams in the nation, with the fifth school ranked as high as ninth.
As co-host of the 2004 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships, the Tigers have reserved seating available in prime locations of the Savvis Center (sections 101-102-103) for the March 18-20 sessions held in St. Louis.
"We'd really like to see both Hilton Coliseum and the Savvis Center packed with Missouri fans," head coach Brian Smith said. "The support that everyone has shown us throughout the season has been tremendous, and we're counting on everyone to come out two more times and cheer for the team. It really means a lot to the team as well as the entire coaching staff."
By joining the Missouri Takedown Club for as little as $40 you can purchase tickets in Missouri's reserved sections (101-102-103) of the Savvis Center. Only 100 tickets remain, so get yours soon before it's too late.
"We have a section in the Savvis Center that seats 800 Missouri fans for the NCAA Championships in St. Louis," Smith said. "With so many fans there to show their Missouri spirit, I think everyone will have a good time."
