Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri men's and women's swimming and diving teams are set to take on their conference opponents at the 2004 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championships in Austin, Texas.
Scouting the women:
This year the No. 22 Missouri women's team (8-3, 3-1) will be facing Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa State, No. 5 Texas and No. 14 Texas A&M in next week's meet. The women's three losses this season came to teams ranked in the top-15 and their conference loss came against Texas A&M.
At last year's meet Missouri finished third behind Texas and Texas A&M. Two-time Big 12 Champion Rebecca Wolfe finished first in the 200 butterfly and several other Tigers placed in the top-five spots. Missouri has finished third the past two years and Texas has won the conference meet for five straight years.
Scouting the men:
The Missouri men's team (1-8, 0-1) will be competing against No. 2 Texas and No. 14 Texas A&M. Last year the men finished third and former Tiger Matt Ferrarelli won the 400 individual medley. Texas has won the Big 12 Championships for seven straight years.

Rebecca Wolfe (Sr.) - Two-time Big 12 Champion in the 200 butterfly...2004 U.S. Olympic Trials Qualifier.
Andrea Nigh (Sr.) - Finished fourth in the 100 freestyle at the 2003 conference meet.
Sarah Lo (Sr.) - Finished second in the 100 breaststroke and fourth in the 100 and 200 backstroke last year...2004 Canadian Olympic Trials qualifier.
Mariona Costa (Jr.) - 2002 Big 12 Champion in the 100 breaststroke...2004 NCAA Championship provisional qualifier.
Liz Schoborg (Soph.) - Finished third in the 200 butterfly and fifth in the 100 butterfly at the 2003 championships.
Tyler Belanger (Sr.) - Finished in the top-10 in the 50 and 100 freestyle last year.
Matt North (Jr.) - 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials qualifier...2004 NCAA Championship provisional qualifier.
Evan Watters (Soph.) - Currently ranked first in the Big 12 on the 1-meter and 3-meter springboards...2004 NCAA Zone Diving Championships qualifier.
Chris Lukas (Soph) - 2004 Canadian Olympic Trials qualifier...placed fifth at last year's conference meet.
