Up This Week...
The #10 ranked Mizzou Tigers host the #15 ranked Arkansas Razorbacks in a dual meet on Friday, February 13 at 7:00 p.m.
Following a road trip to Utah next week where Missouri faces Utah State, Boise State and BYU, the Tigers return to the Hearnes Center to host the #11 ranked Oklahoma Sooners. The MU-OU rivalry is scheduled to commence on Sunday, February 29 at 2:00 p.m.
Meet Promotions
The Tigers are offering discounted $3 adult/$2 youth tickets to various organizations including: Mid-Missouri healthcare workers and the Girl Scouts of America. All fans are welcome to attend the post-meet autograph session to receive a team poster signed by the 2004 Tiger gymnastics team.
Scouting #15 Arkansas
The Razorbacks are currently ranked 15th in the nation owning a 195.985 season scoring average. Arkansas scored its season high last weekend falling to Louisiana State with 196.450 team record.
Arkansas ranks in as the seventh-finest balance beam team in the country averaging a 49.130. The Razorbacks are also ranked 18th on the uneven bars (48.860) and sit just behind Mizzou as the 12th-ranked team on floor (49.225).
The Ladybacks own a 5-2 season record with a 2-2 mark in the Southeastern Conference.
Missouri is 1-1 against Arkansas meeting the Razorbacks for the first time last season.
2004 Cat Classic Recap
* #12 ranked Missouri bested #18 Penn State, #25 BYU and Kentucky to boost its season record to 5-2 and claim its second consecutive Cat Classic title.
* On their way to the championship podium, the Tigers brought down three team records on their way to winning each team event title as well.
* Mizzou smashed the all-time team total scoring a 197.350 to record its first 197+ mark. The Tigers also scored a 49.300 to set a new standard on vault and notched a 49.575 team record on floor.
* The Tigers also recorded their second-highest mark on bars and beam scoring a 49.250 and 49.225, respectively.
* Individually, the Tigers shined winning each of the four individual event titles. Alisha Robinson won the all-around title scoring a Missouri high 39.650. Building up her score, she won the vault (9.925) and floor titles scoring a Missouri record 9.975.
* Lauren Schwartzman joined Robinson on the podium tying her 9.975 floor performance. She also picked up the balance beam title scoring a 9.925.
* Rounding out the quad, sophomore Jodie Heinicka took the uneven bars crown scoring a Mizzou program high 9.950.
* In the exhibition individual event finals, Robinson took first-place honors scoring a 9.900 on vault, while Schwartzman finished second on beam scoring a 9.900.
Tiger Tidbits
* In five meets this season, Rachel Bridges, Lauren Schwartzman, Alisha Robinson and Amanda Pezzullo have yet to score below a 9.8 on vault hitting 19-of-19 vaults in 2004.
* In five consecutive meets in 2004, Missouri has recorded one of the program's top-12 vault totals, including its 49.300 all-time high scored at the Cat Classic.
* The Tigers set two Missouri event records against Southeast Missouri State when they scored a 49.275 on beam and a 49.400 on floor.
* MU kicked off the year scoring its highest season opening scores in the program's 25-year history posting a 195.350 against Iowa State.
* Continuing their opening stanza, the Tigers took their feat a step further scoring a 196.500 against Southeast Missouri State and a 196.050 against New Hampshire. Prior to that, the Tigers' had only tallied two 196+ team scores in program history during the 2003 season.

* Missouri is currently ranked 10th in the nation owning a 196.161 scoring average--it is the highest ranking a Tiger team has received.
* Keeping in the top-25 in each event, Mizzou ranks sixth on vault (49.190), eighth on beam (49.110), 11th on floor (49.230) and 24th on bars (48.650)
* In the South Central Region, the Tigers are tabbed the second-finest team. The Tigers are ranked second of vault, beam and floor with a seventh-place rank on bars. Mizzou in the Big 12
* Missouri is currently ranked second in the Big 12 Conference owning a 5-2 season record and 0-2 league mark. Iowa State leads the conference with a perfect 5-0, 3-0 record.
* In individual event highs, Lauren Schwartzman is the only gymnast in the conference to score a 10.000 on beam. She also joins Alisha Robinson scoring a league high 9.975 on floor.
* In addition to her 9.975 league mark on floor, Alisha Robinson is tied for second on vault also scoring a 9.975.
* Missouri currently owns the Big 12's highest floor exercise score (49.575) The Tigers have also scored the league's second-highest team total (197.350) and vault score (49.300).
