Columbia, Mo. - This summer the city of Columbia can look forward to more than just hot weather. For two weeks in June, Columbia may be overrun by young tennis players from all over the Midwest as the Missouri tennis team hosts the first Mizzou Nike Tennis Camp at the Green Tennis Center.

Camp dates are scheduled for June 13-18, and June 20-25 and are open to various skill levels and age groups. For more information or to sign up for a 2004 Tiger Nike Tennis Camp, please contact the Green Tennis Center at 882-7200 or 1-800-NIKE-CAMP.

"Mizzou offers a perfect set-up to run a Nike Tennis Camp," said Matt Kurlander of Nike Sports "We began working with Coach Blake Starkey about two years ago, and we began working with Blake Starkey about two years ago. The ability to draw from major and minor markets in Kansas, Illinois, Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri, will allow Mizzou to build one of the top Nike tennis camps in the Midwest".
