Tigers Holly Scherder (Frankford, Mo.) and Ann Snider (Harrisonville, Mo.) will make the Missouri women weight throw a compelling event this season as both broke the school record at the Missouri Invitational, Friday at the Hearnes Fieldhouse. Scherder held the record for about 30 minutes until her friend and teammate, Snider, broke the record on her final attempt. Scherder had her best attempt of the night on her first throw, breaking the record set by Brooke Ennen by just over six inches. Snider's throw of 58 feet, 8? inches (17.90m) beat that of Scherder's by two inches (17.85m).
