Columbia, Mo. - The Columbia Quarterback Club ushers in the Mizzou football season with a free pep rally open to the public from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 27th at Memorial Stadium. Mike Kelly, the Voice of the Tigers, and KMIZ personalities Randy Wright and Beau Baehman will emcee the event.
To get fans psyched up for the season ahead, head coach Gary Pinkel -- along with seniors and captains -- will address the fans during the pep rally. Come and listen to Mini-Mizzou and the Golden Girls. Have cameras in hand for pictures with Truman the Tiger, or for a photo opportunity on the "Mizzou Air Express Fire Truck". Face painters, clowns, balloon artists, and a kid's bounce house will be on site for younger Tiger fans. The Tiger Team Store and concession stands will also be open during the Quarterback Club's event. Coach Pinkel and the players will sign autographs to wrap up the pep rally following a few words from Pinkel and an introduction of the 2003 team that plays its first game on August 30th against the University of Illinois in St. Louis at 11 a.m.
