O'FALLON, Mo. - The wood-bat game between Missouri and Illinois, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday was cancelled after a 90-minute rain delay. No make-up date has been announced.
The game was to be the second and final contest for Missouri involving wood bats this season. It would have also marked the first meeting between Missouri and Illinois since 1988.
Original versions of the 2003 schedule listed a game scheduled for Wednesday, May 7, against Lincoln (Mo.). That game was cancelled just after the start of the season due to scheduling difficulties.
Missouri's next scheduled game will take place next Friday, May 16, when Oklahoma comes to Columbia for a regular-season ending three-game series.
