
Unrau Named to All-Big 12 First Team

DALLAS - Missouri junior forward Evan Unrau (Fort Collins, Colo. / Rocky Mountain HS) has been selected to the All-Big 12 Conference First Team, as voted on by the league's coaches and released by officials from the conference office today.
Unrau is only the second Tiger to be named to the All-Big 12 First Team, joining standout Amanda Lassiter in 2001. The award is Unrau's second from the league in as many years, as she was given Honorable Mention in 2002. The 6-foot-1 small forward leads Mizzou in both scoring (15.3 points per game) and rebounding (7.4 rpg).
In addition, senior guard Kerensa Barr (West Plains, Mo. / West Plains HS) earned All-Big 12 Honorable Mention for the second year in a row. Barr is second on the squad with her 11.6 points and 5.0 assists per game. In addition, Barr is five assists and 17 steals from setting a new MU career record.
The Tigers begin play in the Phillips 66 Big 12 Conference Women's Basketball Tournament this Tuesday, March 11, as the No. 6 seed. Mizzou will face No. 11 seed Oklahoma State at 8:30 p.m. at Reunion Arena in Dallas.
Texas' Jody Conradt was named Big 12 Conference Coach of the Year and Kansas State junior Nicole Ohlde was selected as Big 12 Player of the Year. Texas' Jamie Carey was selected Big 12 Newcomer of the Year, while Oklahoma's Chelsi Welch and Texas Tech's Erin Grant were Co-Freshmen of the Year.
