Q: Where did you grow up, and what was it like there?
A: I grew up in nice, little town in Slovenia. Slovenia is small country with a population of only 2,000,000. It borders with Austria, Italy, Croatia and Hungary.
Q: When you're not practicing your game, how do you spend the remainder your time?
A: I play with my two dogs at home, talk to friends, watch TV, listen to the music, and go for walks.
Q: Why did you choose to come to the University of Missouri?
A: I chose it because it is good school, and it has good tennis team with a lot of potential.
Q: What did you decide to major in, and what do you plan on doing after graduation?
A: I'm majoring in marketing and minoring in psychology. After graduation, I would like to try and play in some professional tournaments if I can save enough money to pay for traveling expenses, and hotels. However, if this option does not work out I would like to get my masters degree and apply for the position of assistant tennis coach.
Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration for all that you have accomplished, and why?
A: My parents, because they taught me through life experience's there is always a solution to your problems. They also taught me how to work hard and how to reach goals by starting out with accomplishing little things which can lead to bigger things. They also gave me the opportunities throughout my life to help me reach my goals. They were always on my side, supporting me.
Q: Who is your favorite tennis player?
A: Monica Seles
Q: How do you describe yourself, as a person, and as a part of the MU tennis team?
A: I am a hard working person, goal oriented, and sometimes humorous. I try to find happiness in everything I do. As a part of the team I am one piece out of eight strong pieces which are strongly tight together.
Q: What team or particular player, do you feel is going to be the biggest challenge to you in this upcoming season?
A: I don't know, we will see. I don't think ahead, I just try to focus on each match separately, and try my best. So, it doesn't really matter who I play. As long as I do everything to win the match I'm satisfied with myself. And if I give everything I have in every match, I think good results can come out even against the top ranked players.
Q: What do you expect from yourself as a player in the 2003-2004 season, are there any improvements that you have been working on?
A: I want to win as many matches as possible.
Q: Can you give us some of your speculation of the upcoming season, including which player or players you feel will be most valuable to the team?
A: I don't think that there's such a thing as the most valuable player on the team. There is no the best I in the team, because every I counts one point. So it does not matter if that I comes from one or six positioned players on the team. One I can't compete against six I's.
