
Four Tigers Earn Big 12 Honors

The Mizzou volleyball team had two members named to the All-Big 12 Conference team and two others were named Big 12 award winners. Lindsey Hunter and Shen Danru were each named to the All-Big 12 First Team, while Jessica Vander Kooi was selected the conference Newcomer of the Year and Juliana Godoi earned the Big 12 Defensive Specialist of the Year.
For Hunter and Danru, it marks the second time that each has earned Big 12 honors, but the first time they have been first team selections. Last season, both were named to the conference second team.
Hunter leads the Big 12 Conference with a 12.28 assists per game average and is in the top 10 of the conference in aces per game with an 0.40 mark. She is the only player to play every point for MU this season. Hunter has reached 60 assists three times, including 69 assists against Texas A&M to tie her career high.
Danru leads the Tigers in kills, aces, and digs per game and is in the top 10 of the Big 12 in each category. She has 16 double-doubles this season, second most in the Big 12 Conference. She recorded at least 20 kills nine times this year and had 24 kills in four matches. She also had five matches with at least 20 digs and had 20 kills and 20 digs in the same match three times during the season.
Vander Kooi has started every match for MU this year. She is averaging 2.38 kills per game and 2.77 digs per game. She reached 20 kills twice this season and had 20 digs in two matches. Her career high in kills came against Kansas when she had 22.
Godoi had double-digit dig performances seven times during the year including two 20-dig matches. She set a season-high with 22 digs in Mizzou's win over Nebraska on Nov. 15. She is averaging 2.27 digs per game and is fifth in the Big 12 with a 0.41 aces per game mark.
