Scouting the Wildcats
Kansas State enters Wednesday's match with a 14-3 record and is 4-1 Big 12 Conference. Last week, KSU defeated Oklahoma in three games, before recording a four-game victory over Texas A&M. After dropping their first two matches of the year (vs. Hawaii and Florida), the Wildcats went on a 12-match winning streak. The streak was snapped when Baylor downed KSU on Sept. 24. Lauren Goehring leads the Wildcats with a 3.51 kills per game and a .456 hitting percentage. She also averages 1.00 block per game and 1.39 digs per game. Suzie Fritz is in her third year as the Kansas State head coach, compiling a record of 55-20. Last year, KSU advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament and finished ranked No. 21 after a 21-9 season.

The MU-KSU Series
Kansas State leads the all-time series with Mizzou 31-26 and has won five straight. The last win for Missouri came in 2000 and is the only win for the Tigers in the last 18 meetings. Last season, the Wildcats picked up two three-game sweeps over Missouri. MU is 10-15 in Manhattan and has not won on the KSU home court since 1993.

A Look Back
AMES, Iowa-- The Mizzou volleyball team continued its recent domination of the Iowa State Cyclones as it recorded a 3-0 (30-21, 30-20, 30-11) win in Ames, Iowa on Saturday. Missouri has not lost to Iowa State since November of 1996, a string of 13 consecutive Tiger wins, and head coach Susan Kreklow moves to 7-0 all-time against ISU. Mizzou held the Cyclones to only a .074 hitting percentage on Saturday and recorded seven team blocks. The Tigers used a 10-1 run midway through game one to build a lead as large as 10 as they took the opening game 30-21. Mizzou hit just .100 in the game, but held the Cyclones to a -.018 hitting percentage. One solo block and four block assists helped MU to the win. Mizzou picked up its hitting in the second game, posting a .419 hitting percentage on its way to taking a 2-0 lead into the intermission. The Tigers continued their strong blocking, recording four more block assists in game two. After ISU won the first point of game three, the Tigers won six straight points and 12 of the next 14 to build a comfortable lead. A .577 hitting percentage in game three to go along with a .030 mark by Iowa State led the easy win for MU. Shen Danru had her seventh double-double of the season and her fifth in the six Big 12 Conference matches, with 11 kills and 10 digs. Lisa Boyd also had 11 kills to go along with a team-leading .588 hitting percentage. Jessica Vander Kooi, making her first return to her home state, had 10 digs and three services aces.
