COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou women's basketball team will host its final preseason scrimmage this Friday, Oct. 31, as part of the annual "Tiger Night of Terror".
The fun-filled evening starts at 6 p.m. in the Hearnes Fieldhouse, with a series of activities designed as a safe alternative to door-to-door trick-or-treating. In partnership with the City of Columbia Parks and Recreation Department, as well as Greek Life, the Hearnes Fieldhouse will be filled with fun games, a hay-bale maze, and lots of candy for the youngsters.
At 7 p.m., the women's basketball team will take the floor for a pair of 20-minute scrimmage periods. Following the scrimmage, there will be a Halloween costume contest on the floor.
The Hearnes Center box office will be open for ticket purchases for fans interested in securing their season tickets for the 2003-04 campaign. Season ticket packages are now on sale, and fans have two exciting options this year. The KMIZ-ZOU Spirit Pass gives the holder admission to each of seven Mizzou sports, including women's basketball, on a general-admission basis. In addition, women's basketball fans who wish to purchase a reserved seat for the season may continue to do so with the purchase of a basketball-only season ticket.
To purchase tickets, fans may stop by the Hearnes Center Box Office, call 1-800-CAT-PAWS (573-884-PAWS in mid-Missouri), or buy online at www.MUTigers.com. The exhibition season starts Saturday, Nov. 8, against Southwest Baptist, and the 2003-04 home opener is Wednesday, Nov. 26, against Southern.
