Missouri sophomore volleyball player Shen Danru has been selected as the Big 12 Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday. This marks the second time that Danru has earned the award in her two seasons at MU.
Danru led the Tigers to a 1-1 record last week against conference rivals Texas Tech and Texas A&M. The Shanghai, China, sophomore averaged 5.14 kills and 4.14 digs per game. She also added on 0.29 aces per game, a .300 hitting percentage and two double-doubles in both conference matches.
For the season, Danru has recorded six double-doubles and leads the team with 179 kills, 156 digs and leads the Big 12 with 22 aces.
The Tigers return to the Hearnes Center on Wednesday to face Kansas at 7 p.m.
