Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri football team will hold its first annual Fan Day on Saturday, August 9th, from 3:30-5:00 p.m. at Memorial Stadium/Faurot Field. Admission is free, and gates will open for the event at approximately 3:15 p.m.

Tiger fans will have an opportunity to meet Mizzou's players and coaches, and get autographs and pictures with them, as well. There will be free Coca-Cola and black and gold balloons available for those in attendance, as well as free posters and schedule cards.

Truman the Tiger, the Golden Girls and the MU Cheer Squad will also be on hand for the event, which will also feature a sidewalk sale for the Tiger Team Store. Plenty of sale merchandise will be on hand, as well as brand new 2003 merchandise - including the popular Nike Brad Smith jersey.

Fans will have the opportunity to walk on the new FieldTurf surface at the event, and to purchase tickets to the upcoming set of home games, which begin Sept. 13th against Eastern Illinois.
