Mizzou's Juric Eliminated From NCAA Tennis Tournament

GAINESVILLE, FLA. - University of Missouri tennis player Urska Juric was eliminated in the first round of the NCAA Tennis Championships in Gainesville, Florida today by Megan Bradley of Miami(FL) 6-4, 6-2. Juric's fantastic season comes to end after ending the year as a first team All-Big 12 performer and as the catalyst on a team that made the NCAA Tennis Tournament for the first time in school history.

Juric was beaten by Bradley 6-2 in the first set,; a set Juric was never in. Juric was tied with Bradley at 4-4 in the second set but Bradley closed out the match by winning the last two games. Bradley, the Miami star, has Mizzou lineage as her father is legendary Mizzou qauterback and pitcher Phil Bradley. Juric's doubles season, however, is not complete as she and doubles partner Katka Sevcikova take on Alice Sukner and Jessica Johnson of Mashall University tomorrow.

Juric and Sevcikova are slated to play at 1:00 p.m. CDT tomorrow at the Ring Tennis Complex at the University of Florida.
