Men's Golf Finishes Second Day at NCAA Regionals

MANHATTAN, Kan. - University of Missouri men's golf team completed the second of three rounds of the NCAA Central Regional held in Manhattan, Kansas at Colbert Hills Golf Course on Friday. Cool temperatures and heavy rains hampered play throughout and delayed the start for the second consecutive day.

Mizzou shot 300 on the day, and is four strokes up on conference rival Baylor. Texas A&M and Kansas are leading the Tigers by five strokes.

The University of Illinois still leads the tournament for the second day despite of shooting seven over-par. Of the 27 teams competing, ten advance to the NCAA Championships in Oklahoma City.

Junior Brandon Knaub carded a round of 69, three-under par. Knaub is now even-par for the tournament and has landed in the Top 25. Rounding out the Tigers' scoring, senior Chris Happ scored a 75, junior David Jenkins scored a 77, senior Cory Ewert and junior Michael Radek both scored a 79.
