COLUMBIA, Mo. - The University of Missouri men and women's track team fought adverse weather conditions to have an impressive first day at the Missouri Relays. Tiger athletes captured four titles on day one and look to have an equally, if not more, impressive day for the conclusion of the relays tomorrow.

Tiger senior co-captain Russ Bell won the men's hammer throw and will compete in the men's discus and shot put tomorrow. Tiger All-American Christian Cantwell will also compete in the men's shot put tomorrow. On the women's side senior Kim Moore won the 3000 meters with a time of 10:17.62 and fellow teammate and senior Ashley McLleod finished second. Senior Fiona Asigbee won the long jump and tammate Abbe Ohneck finished second. Holly Scherder was also successful for the Tiger winning the women's hammer throw. Teammates Brooke Ennen and Ann Snider finished second and third respectively.

The 4th Annual Missouri Relays conclude tomorrow with most of the collegiate contests yet to be completed.
