Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri Athletic Department and the MU Alumni Association invites MU alumni, fans and friends to meet with Head Football Coach Gary Pinkel, Director of Athletics Mike Alden, and other Tiger administrators, when the Mizzou Caravan stops in St. Joseph, Mo., Mon., May 19th. This is a re-scheduling of the previously announced date of May 12th.
Tiger Athletics and the MU Alumni Association will sponsor a reception and "Tiger Talk" dinner program that evening at the St. Joseph Country Club, at 50 Ridgeland Road, in St. Joseph. A reception will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by a dinner program, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $17 per person ($15 for Alumni Association members and Tiger Scholarship Fund donors), and includes a barbecue dinner and doorprizes. A cash bar will also be available.
Pinkel will be on hand to recap the spring football period and look ahead to the much-anticipated 2003 season, while Alden will discuss a variety of topics concerning Tiger Athletics. The event will be emceed by Mike Kelly, the Voice of the Tigers.
Mizzou fans can pick up Tiger football ticket information at the event. Persons attending will also have the opportunity to purchase Tiger merchandise and souvenirs from the Tiger Team Store, official Memorial Stadium/Hearnes Center vendor.
