COLUMBIA, Mo. - University of Missouri tennis players Katka Sevcikova and Urska Juric had a fantastic year in singles and doubles for Missouri Tiger tennis team. Juric and Sevcikova were both named to the All-Big 12 first team making it the first two Tigers have made the All-conference team in the history of the Big 12. In doubles, Juric and Sevcikova are currently ranked #11 in the nation. They won the Big 12 regular season at #1 doubles, posting a league-best 28-5 record, 9-2 in the Big 12. Sevcikova won the Big 12 regular season at #2 singles with a 9-2 record in Big XII play, 20-8 overall. At #1 singles, Juric finished second in the Big 12 with a 9-2 record, 31-10 overall. oth were named all-conference in both singles and doubles. This is the first all-conference selection in singles for Sevcikova, and the second for Juric. It is the pair's second all-conference selection in doubles.
The #37 Tiger women's tennis team is now 15-7 on the year, and await a decision by the selection committee on a berth in the NCAA Tournament which will be held at a site yet to be determined on Saturday, May 10th. Juric and Sevcikova expect to qualify for the NCAA Championships in both singles and doubles which will be held in Gainsville, Florida on May 19th
